Our focus at PCK in the InterSen Phase is on successfully Global Competencies within teaching and learning, using a variety of current teaching strategies and methodologies to consolidate and strengthen the 5 skill areas: Thinking, Research, Communication, Social and Self-Management. We endeavour to provide the pupils with flexible and creative learning spaces in the classroom and outdoors, which allows each child to work in a space where they are comfortable and able to work to the best of their ability. We strive to harness our execution of Inquiry-based Learning and we hope to implement it confidently within our teaching units. In the Intermediate and Senior Phase,

we encourage inquiry, groupwork and collaboration during appropriate tasks, and strive to gear your children with the necessary tools to engage proactively and productively with others.

As a school, we are committed to fulfilling our four Pinnacle Promises: namely, Student Experience, Campus Experience, Extra-mural Experience, and Communication Experience. As a Pinnacle College Community, we stand an even better chance to successfully fulfil these experiences and promises by strengthening the triangle of pupil, school, and parent.

Learning Focus: Grade 1 to Grade 7

Academics

Our learning philosophy is one of academic discovery and exploration. Within the National Curriculum framework, we encourage students to extend their ability with relevant programmes and initiatives. Collaborating with other educational organisations can ensure success in achieving academic results.

Students have opportunities to absorb further knowledge and exceed their own  expectations. This preparatory education is an essential process that equips the learners for a smooth advancement to High School. We encourage parents to be involved in their children’s education: in fact, relationshipbuilding between parent, child and teacher is imperative.

The ongoing professional development of our staff remains a critical part of our ability to provide quality education to every student. Our teacher’s frequent workshops, networking events such as regional subject/phaserelated meetings and Group conferences, where best practice principles are shared.
