Pre - Preparatory

At Pinnacle College Copperleaf, we aim not only to prepare children for a successful school career, but also a successful life after school.

In order to prepare our students for the modern workplace, we help them develop some very important skills. From a young age they learn to communicate effectively and manage certain tasks by researching topics thoroughly. This teaches them to think critically, solve problems and mature their social skills.

As members of a diverse society, we ensure that the students embrace the values laid out by the R.D.I program. This consists of having respect for and including all people, regardless of their race or culture.

At Pinnacle College Copperleaf, we also understand that each child enjoys to play and receive some special attention from their teacher. In classes of no more than 25 students per teacher, as well as the small-group learning approach we implement, every little one gets to build a special relationship with their class teacher. We also follow a play-based approach where learners can explore and enjoy a practical approach to learning.

At our school, we do not view students as empty vessels waiting to be filled, we value children for who they are at the very moment that they enrol.

Academic Support

We partner with parents to ensure that each student receives the academic support they need.

Classes have no more than 25 students per qualified teacher, this allows for teachers to identify areas of support quickly. The specific areas of support will be noted on a Support Plan that is tailored to each student’s individual needs. The Support Plan is used to guide in-class support activities.

Should additional academic support be necessary, Pinnacle College Copperleaf have Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Remedial Specialists and Educational Psychologists on site that work closely with parents and class teachers to ensure effective learner support. These external specialists charge standard rates that would not be covered by the school fees.

We are a four-term school, but run our Academic Programme on three Academic Cycles.

Children are assessed throughout the course of a term using formative (ongoing) assessments. This enables teachers to determine areas of support and progress. Summative assessments are done towards the end of a term, to establish what the students have learnt and retained. Reports are issued in the first and third terms.

Reports are published on Academia (Stasy), they are not printed or emailed. Parents will receive login details and passwords to access students’ profiles. For any additional assistance with accessing Academia, please contact Stasy Support:
