Welcome to Pinnacle College Copperleaf – a place where every child is genuinely known, valued, and encouraged to grow in every way.
I’ve been teaching since 2009, and my very first role was at a small school where each student was greeted by name and every voice truly mattered. That experience shaped me as an educator. It was there that I discovered not only a deep passion for teaching, but also the transformative power of relationships in education. Since then, I have carried that “small school” feeling with me — and it continues to guide everything I do here at Copperleaf.
At Pinnacle College Copperleaf, we combine this strong sense of belonging with a commitment to academic excellence. Every student deserves access to a world-class education, and I am dedicated to ensuring that our classrooms reflect this — through strong teaching practices, individualised support, and high expectations.
Our school is grounded in the Four Pinnacle Promises, and I am committed to bringing these to life in ways that are meaningful and relevant. Our Campus Experience offers a peaceful and inspiring setting, with beautiful grounds overlooking a serene dam — creating a calm, farm-like atmosphere where students are free to explore, discover, and learn in nature.
Through our Communication Promise, we foster strong partnerships between home and school, keeping families informed and engaged with regular updates and open dialogue. Our Extracurricular Experience is rich and diverse, giving students the chance to grow beyond the classroom through sports, cultural activities, and clubs that build confidence, friendships, and lifelong skills.
Most importantly, I want every child who walks through our gates to feel known and loved. Because when students feel seen and supported, they are free to dream big — and empowered to work hard to achieve those dreams.

Academic Support
We partner with parents to ensure that each student receives the academic support they need.
Classes have no more than 25 students per qualified teacher, this allows for teachers to identify areas of support quickly. The specific areas of support will be noted on a Support Plan that is tailored to each student’s individual needs. The Support Plan is used to guide in-class support activities.
Should additional academic support be necessary, Pinnacle College Copperleaf have Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Remedial Specialists and Educational Psychologists on site that work closely with parents and class teachers to ensure effective learner support. These external specialists charge standard rates that would not be covered by the school fees.
We are a four-term school, but run our Academic Programme on three Academic Cycles.
Children are assessed throughout the course of a term using formative (ongoing) assessments. This enables teachers to determine areas of support and progress. Summative assessments are done towards the end of a term, to establish what the students have learnt and retained. Reports are issued in the first and third terms.
Reports are published on Academia (Stasy), they are not printed or emailed. Parents will receive login details and passwords to access students’ profiles. For any additional assistance with accessing Academia, please contact Stasy Support: stasysupport@iie.ac.za
