Primary

Whether you start your journey with us in the Pre-Primary or in Grade 1, or even at one of the higher Grades in the Primary School, it is our desire to see you move successfully into our High School in order for you to Matriculate.

As such, it is our vision at Pinnacle College Founders Hill, to provide a sound academic footing that prepares you for High School and beyond. We understand and celebrate that the success of our Matriculants is grounded in the excellent academic programme delivered in the developmental years at our Pre School, which is balanced with our core extra mural sporting and cultural offering.

Assessments and Reports

We are a four-term school, but run our Academic Programme on three Academic Cycles.

At Pinnacle College Founders Hill we assess the Students on a continuous basis so as to be able to remedy any areas of concern as soon as possible during each Academic Cycle.

Foundation Phase | Grades 1 – 3

  • A progress report is issued at the end of the 2nd and 4th Terms.
  • These are supplemented by Parent Interviews at the end of the 1st Term and a Student Lead Conference during the 3rd Term.

Intermediate Phase | Grades 4 – 7

  • A progress report is issued at the end of each of the Academic Cycles.
  • Cycle 1 is based on continuous classwork assessments from Term 1 & Term 2
  • Cycle 2 is based on continuous classwork assessments from Term 2 & Term 3 and the Mid-Year Examinations.
  • Cycle 3 is based on continuous classwork assessments from Term 3 & Term 4 and the Final Examinations at the end of the year.
  • Parents Evenings are held in Term 1 and Term 2, while Student Lead Conferences are held in the 3rd Term.
